This year HSBC Brecon Jazz celebrates with its traditional mix of jazz legends and new talent. To reach its 25th anniversary with an international reputation for artistic excellence is a great testimony to all those who have been involved since 1984. Awarded the ’Best Major Event’ accolade in the 2007 National Tourism Awards, the Festival has become a distinctive jazz event in a stunning location with talented musicians and visitors coming to Brecon to experience its special ambience.

Many of Brecon’s favourites are returning to celebrate the festival’s anniversary: Jazz legends Lee Konitz, Mark Murphy, Louis Hayes and Joe Temperley as well as popular Brecon regulars, Jools Holland, Scott Hamilton and Martin Taylor. Newcomers to the festival include Neil Cowley, Joan Armatrading and Wales’ own Cerys Matthews.
