As lead singer of It Bites between 1984 and 1990, Francis Dunnery oversaw the most successful period of one of Britain’s best loved prog rock bands of the 1980s, scoring top 10 hits and albums during the period. He left the band at the turn of the 90s to play alongside such rock legends as Yes and Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and to become the solo career that would see him succesfully navigate the 90s and now, most of the 00s too.

He released his first solo effort, Welcome To The Wild Country, in 1991 and has released a dozen albums since. It was his 2nd effort, Tall Blonde Helicopter, which signalled the path which Dunnery would follow though, with the former progster taking a more laid back, semi-acoustic singer-songwriter approach. In the 00s he’s released countless albums on his own Aquarian Nation label and has toured, each time experimenting with his own sound and performance style.
