Flat Holm, a strangely attractive little island off the coast of Cardiff; it may be casually observed as the small, flattish island with the lighthouse, situated in the Bristol Channel.

For many centuries a refuge for saints, sinners, soldiers, sailors, smugglers, scientists and seagulls, the island resonates with rich layers of natural and human history.

Island Echoes is an exhibition of Flat Holm inspired artworks: drawings, paintings, writings, photographs, textiles, sculptures and ideas for film.

The artists are from Cardiff Drawing Group, a collective of art, design and media professionals, who work within a wide variety of disciplines and regard drawing as an essential component of their creative practices.
