The SWADA Repertory Company is bringing Watership Down to Cardiff in a brand new musical production. See Fiver, Bigwig, Hazel and Silver come alive as actors transform this much loved story to dance and song. This production is set in the familiar surroundings of the warrens and burrows portrayed by author Richard Adams in his 1972 novel.
Written by Bob Baker (co-writer of Wallace and Gromit films ‘The Wrong Trousers’, ‘A Close Shave’ and ‘The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’), music and lyrics by Pete Watson, and with the blessing of Richard Adams himself, this production is suitable for all the family, and will appeal to audiences of all ages.
SWADA (South West Academy of Dramatic Arts)’s Repertory Company fosters the talent and energy of promising young actors, and its members are drawn largely from the Bristol area and around.
