


Roll up, roll up! Join us for a summer packed with fun activities for all the family.
Linked to our Powysland Museum exhibition, “Alexandra, Princess and Queen”, our theme is Victorian and Edwardian childhood with traditional crafts such as scrapbooking, painting and toy making.
Wednesday 23rd July 11.00-12.00. Victorian Toys and Games. Make and play with some traditional toys and parlour games. Some parental help required for children under five years.
Wednesday 30th July 11.00-12.00. The Seaside! The Victorians invented beach holidays – come and make some traditional seaside toys and paint a picture of Victorian life!
Wednesday 20th August.10.00-11.00. Portraits and Pictures. Learn the art of portraiture and miniatures.
Wednesday 27th August 10.00-11.00. Scrapbooks. We will teach you the craft of Victorian scrap-booking and decoupage.
Thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund we are able to offer these activity sessions at a reduced price of £1 per child.
All places should be booked by calling 01938 554656 to avoid disappointment. Suitable for children over three; some activities require adult supervision. We are located at the Town Hall, Great Oak Street.
