Roll up, roll up! Join us for a summer packed with fun activities for all the family.

Linked to our exhibition, “Alexandra, Princess and Queen”, our theme is Victorian and Edwardian childhood with traditional crafts such as scrapbooking, painting and toy making.

Thanks to support from the Heritage Lottery Fund we are able to offer these activities at a reduced price of
£1 per child (normal price £2).

Monday 28th July 11.00-12.00. Board and Parlour Games. Learn how to play some Victorian games and make your own to take home.

Monday 4th August 11.00-12.00. The Seaside! The Victorians invented beach holidays – come and make some seaside toys.

Thursday 14th August 11.00-12.00. Portraits and Pictures. The art of portraiture with local artist, Gwen Heeney.

Thursday 21st August 11.00-12.00. Scrapbooks. Gwen Heeney teaches you the craft of Victorian scrap-booking.

Thursday 28th August 11.00-12.00. Wonderful Watercolours. Painting and composition with Gwen Heeney.

All places should be booked by calling 01938 554656 to avoid disappointment. Suitable for children over three; some activities require adult supervision. We are located behind Morrison’s supermarket car-park.
