Opera newydd yn seiliedig ar ddrama | A new opera based on the play by
Gwenlyn Parry

“Tyrd. Mi awn ni i fyny, chdi a fi, law yn llaw hefo'n gilydd, heb ofn, heb ddifaru.”

O ieuenctid i henaint, o gariad i anobaith, o chwant i ddadrithiad, dyma opera ddwys a threiddgar, gan gwmni opera newydd mwyaf blaenllaw y DU a’r cwmni theatr cenedlaethol iaith Gymraeg.

Yn seiliedig ar waith un o ddramodwyr pwysicaf Cymru,  mae Y Tŵr yn astudiaeth craff  ar berthynas rhwng dau wrth iddynt ymrafael a chyfnodau allweddol eu byw a’u bod. Personol a byd-eang. Neilltuol a thragwyddol.

“We'll go up, you and me, together, hand in hand, no fear, no regrets.”

Dances, Fountains and Gothic Tales - an audiovisual performance of Maurice Ravel’s piano music by Tristian Evans

Dances, Fountains and Gothic Tales - an audiovisual performance of Maurice Ravel’s piano music by Tristian Evans

There will be a live audio-visual performance of piano music at MOSTYN in Llandudno on the evening of Saturday 17th June, to accompany the gallery's current ‘WAGSTAFF’S’ exhibition.

Pianist and music researcher Tristian Evans will be performing ‘Dances, Fountains and Gothic Tales’ which combines Maurice Ravel’s piano music with projected still and moving images taken from the themes which inspired the composer. The themes include dance forms, the fountains of Versailles, and French romantic and symbolist tales and poetry from the 19th century.
