Bouncers
Following their hilarious take on the more mature side of life in Albert Nobbs and the teenage kicks that was Like A Virgin, back by popular demand Reform Theatre presents John Godber’s Bouncers, a vision of the 80s urban nightlife, at Carmarthen’s Lyric, 7 October.

It’s Friday night, it’s disco night – time for Bouncers to come alive! Judd, Ralph, Les and Lucky Eric invite you for a night on the town in this hilarious and outrageous look back at the 80s nightclub scene. In the tatty, glamour and flashing lights we meet the smooth talking DJ, the lager swilling lads, the lipstick-ed, lacquered girls and many more gyrating to the pulsating beat of the dance floor. And so begins the journey into Friday night under the ever watchful, ever ready, ever observant Bouncers.

Sheffield’s Reform Theatre Company have made a name for producing high-quality, hard-hitting dramas that both tug at the heart strings and make the audience want to laugh out loud and they’ll be once-again be unleashing their inimitable comic style on John Godber’s most popular play.

A must-see for anyone who loves the humour of Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights and the spin-off Max And Paddy’s Road To Nowhere.

Getting to the theatre couldn’t be easier with the Carmarthenshire Theatres free shuttle bus service. The busses operate between Ammanford Miners’ Theatre and Llanelli’s Theatr Elli to The Lyric, with pick-ups en-route, returning at the end of the evening.
