A series of Celtic evenings which will introduce the music of three countries Scotland, Ireland and Wales in a relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on having a good time!

Scotland with ’Caledon’

Caledon singers Alan Beck, Jamie Mc Dougall and Ivan Sharpe and their Musical Director Michael Barnett are equally at home whether inspiring the 55,000 soccer crowd at Hamden park with a stirring new version of Flower Of Scotland, or on the stage of the world-famous Sydney opera House, singing to a packed auditorium of music lovers. This group has performed all over the world from the United States to new Zealand, from Germany to Ireland. And this is their first visit to Wales. Their strength is in performing wonderful arrangements of songs from their native Scotland with passion, deep emotion, such gems as Loch Lomond; My Love Is Like A Red; Red Rose and Auld Lang Syne.

Ireland with Irish folk group ’The One Bush’

Top class Irish music with Brian Duffy (voice and bodhran), Bernad Kelly (box accordion) and Jordan Patton (mandolin and banjo). They have played festivals throughout Britain including Celtic Connections and as with Caledon before them this is their Welsh debut. Irish music and Irish craic held in a relaxed and laid back atmosphere with some room to dance to a reel or two for the more energetic amongst you!

Wales with ’Pigyn Clust’ and ’Côr Cynta i’r Felin’

We bring this Celtic Cocktail series to a close with a taste of Welsh Culture in an evening featuring Pigyn Clust folk group - Ffion Haf, voice; Endaf ap Ieuan, guitar and Buzzooki; Idris Morris Jones, fiddle, Voice; Cass Meurig, crwth, fiddle; Wyn Williams, guitar, voice. With their unique interpretations of Welsh airs, they will be joined by innovative young choir Côr Cyntaf i’r Felin, led by their conducter Dr Guto Puw, bringing you a wealth of choral gems guaranteed to raise the roof in a Celtic climax!
