Dance Bytes: New Work

A stimulating and engaging contemporary dance double-bill from choreographers Jessie Brett and Jo Shapland who have been selected to go through to the final stage of Welsh Independent Dance’s unique choreographic development programme, Dance Bytes.

New Work is the third and final stage of this programme which is dedicated to creating and developing choreographic work made in Wales by emerging and established dance artists.

Welsh Inter-High School Street Dance Championship Final

 

The United Dance Organisation are very proud to present the 2nd Welsh inter – High School Street Dance Championships. After the extremely successful 2008 / 09 school championships, we are very excited about this year’s event.

 

The competition promises to involve as many pupils across Wales in dance, and we hope to see more schools getting involved in this fantastic competition. Over 80 teams from High Schools across Wales will perform street dance routines to try and impress the Judges to win their school the use of a brand new mini bus. Heats are to be held in Swansea, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Wrexham with the Final at St. David’s Hall.

 

As well as the school teams there will be performances from the United Dance Organisation Championship teams and a celebrity judge will be attending the final.

 

Please come along and support the Youth of Wales.
