This exhibition will feature a vibrant new collection of work from 2004 ’Spirit of Llyn’ winner Wendy Murphy. Her paintings take us on a theatrical journey through everyday life, inspired by the landscapes and people that surround her.
Also featuring is the young Llyn artist Tess Urbanska who has been hugely influenced by her time on Inis Oirr under the TIR project. Through spending time on the fringe of the Atlantic, her new work based on Llyn, focuses on dramatic skyscapes and seascapes.
Mihangel Arfor Jones , primarily a portrait painter, has a fascination for the human form and an individual and poetic style, drawing extensively on experiences and memories of childhood. There is also an opportunity to view work by New Artists to the Gallery.
Sue Morgan , who paints with a naïve and illustrative quality; Leo Augustine Donaghy’s fresh and energetic visions; Penelope Timmis’ colourful depictions of nature; Dan Llewelyn Hall who paints with vibrancy and fervour; Meirion Alan Ginsberg whose mystic and idiosyncratic characters captivates the viewer, and Daniel Roberson also features his new work from the south Wales valleys.
